Storing your documents

Keep the paperwork behind each account or asset in Oinkly — mortgage offers, valuations, insurance — and get reminded before anything expires.

Oinkly can hold the paperwork that sits behind your money — mortgage offers, valuations, insurance certificates, tenancy agreements — so it's all in one place and nothing lapses without warning.

Uploading a document

  1. Go to Documents and choose Upload. You can add a PDF, image, Word or Excel file, up to 25MB.
  2. Tag what it is — a mortgage document, valuation, EPC and so on — so it's easy to find later.
  3. Add the document date (the date on the document itself), and if it runs out, an expiry date.
  4. Set a reminder for a little before the expiry, and Oinkly will flag it in good time.

Staying ahead of expiries

The reminder is separate from the expiry on purpose — set it far enough ahead that you can actually act, like a month before a policy lapses. The Documents page counts anything expiring in the next 30 days, so a quick glance keeps you on top of renewals, and expiries can appear on your calendar too.

Good to know

Documents can be linked to the account, asset, property or tenancy they relate to, which keeps everything about one thing together — handy when you're reviewing a rental or remortgaging.
