Getting started with Oinkly

New to Oinkly? Set up your account, add your first balance and see your net worth in minutes — plus how to keep it accurate and what to add next.

Oinkly brings your savings, ISAs, pensions, Premium Bonds, property and loans into one place, so you can see your real net worth and watch it grow. The quickest way to feel the benefit is to add a single account — your dashboard fills in the moment you do.

Oinkly doesn't connect to your bank

This is the first thing to understand, because it shapes everything else. Oinkly does not log into your bank or pull your data automatically. You enter your balances yourself, or upload a statement for Oinkly to read. That means there are no bank logins to share and nothing sitting between you and your money. The trade-off is that your figures are only as fresh as your last update — so a quick habit of updating balances keeps the picture honest.

Set up in a few steps

  1. Sign up on the pricing page and choose a plan. Every new member gets a 7-day free trial of Big Pig, our full tier, with no card required.
  2. Confirm your email address and log in.
  3. On the dashboard, choose Add account.
  4. Pick an account type, give it a name you'll recognise, and type in the current balance.
  5. Save. Your net worth updates instantly.

That's your first account tracked. Everything from here is adding more of your financial life and letting Oinkly do the adding up.

What to add first

Start with what matters most to you — you can add the rest any time. Most people begin with a current account and a savings pot, then build out from there:

  • a current account for everyday money;
  • a savings account or bond for your rainy-day fund or a goal;
  • your ISAs and pensions, so the tax-free and retirement parts of your wealth are in view;
  • Premium Bonds, if you hold any;
  • property and loans (on Big Pig), which give you a true net worth rather than just your cash.

Keeping your figures fresh

Because you enter balances yourself, a light touch keeps things accurate. Update a balance when interest lands or when you pay money in or out, and use the calendar and alerts to remind you before things like a bonus rate ending or a bond maturing. If you'd rather not type transactions in one by one, you can import a bank statement and Oinkly will sort them for you.

Good to know

Your trial gives you everything Big Pig offers for 7 days, and you don't enter any card details to start it. When it ends, you choose one of the three plans to carry on.
